Description:

Abstract:

This dataset was the result of a 2006 digital map address inventory identification project. The purpose of the project was to identify each geographic address location within Polk County except for the cities and villages. A point map feature was placed at each driveway entrance location that had an existing structure.Begining in June 2013, address points are being entered in the Cities and Villages. This process is not complete.

Purpose: Addressing, E911, and general mapping purposes.

Licensee shall pay the fee determined under the Licensors GIS Map Fee Schedule, as it may be amended. Payment shall be made in full before the Data is released. If said Licensee is a Government Entity, a 50 percent discount will be given. Government Entities that provides new data created using our Data shall be reimbursed for the initial fee. The new data must be received by Licensor within six months of acquiring Licensor's Data.
Licensee may combine the Data with different data to create new and original electronic or hardcopy products which Licensee can use, however, this data may not be duplicated or reproduced for sale, licensing or distribution in any manner without written consent of Licensor. Licensee may create a reasonable number of copies to be used internally. Licensee shall keep a record of the location of each copy.
Consultants of Licensee not named in this agreement shall not use Data unless the Consultants obtain written consent from the Licensor's Land Information Director.

Attribute's or data fields have been set by New World System's which is the CAD vendor for the Polk County dispatch mapping application. Standards are also set to match the Master Street Address Guide (MSAG) that is used for the routing of 911 calls. Data must be entered the same way it is entered into the MSAG.

Logical_Consistency_Report:

2001 and 2006 orthophotography, digital parcel maps, Polk-Burnett Electric Coop data, and other forms of information were used to identify point placement.
In 2009 - 2010 the WI DNR Forestry Division contracted with the Polk County Land Information Department to create a Forest Fire Protection book. The project focus area was for the Towns of Sterlin, West Sweden, Clam Falls, Lorain, and part of Mckinley, Bone Lake, and Luck. Address locations were reviewed using the 2006 & 2008 aerial photos and in areas that were unclear to determine address locations site field verification was conducted by the Zoning Division. For areas that field verification occured, a GPS point and stream data was collected for driveway and structure locations. This address dataset was adjusted based on those findings in the field.

Completeness_Report:

Limitations: Although every effort has been made to insure accuracy of this dataset limited field verification has occurred. Properties around lakes have been a challenge in areas that have not been parcel mapped. LIMITED GPS FIELD VERIFICATION HAS OCCURED.
